NOOOOOOOOOO MY DAY JOB HAS COME BACK TO HAUNT ME

Nice car ad mate. I make these for a daily 150k subscribership. This is pretty well done. The shattered imagery of the toyota looks great from a design pov - but theres a 55% the agency is going to hate it because it obscures the product - aka the car.

But FUCK the agency right ? they pay our bills but hardly run our minds, only our 9-6.

That being said, the broken car image WORKS FUCKING GREAT with the crag ( rock n rubble ) and adds a dynamic that most car ads lack.

Good work. Full Blood ( marks = aka 10points) from me. /wave to a fellow car advertiser

Welcome to GFX!

Very nice work Chuck! See, I told you nobody can f*ck with Chuck! Way to go on this piece. I have no crits other than to experiment with darkening your background and inverting the color of your text! It may or may not work. Well done otherwise and definitely a +10 sir!

Thanks man.

Yeah, I've gotten some flack on the shattered FJ image...but, well firstly I agree with you, F the agency, haha. No,, if this were for a real magazine, maybe I wouldn't do it...but maybe I would, because I figure the cover image is gonna be the nice pretty one anyway.

At my job, I work with racer/tuner/bling cars all day long, they're kept all shiny and super clean, so it's nice to go for something a little different.

Ah, interesing suggestion Tom. Yeah, I'm gonna play with this some more before I put it any portfolio.

Yeah honestly if someone has a problem with design -- Im using the one with nails for teeth and piss for spit. This is a solid design. I am jealous of the magazine status.

I do spec ads for a newspaper -- WOO HOO 100 DPI !!! :|

lol w/e its still a job until my freelance pays for itself. Welcome to gfx m8. Glad to have another advertiser :)

edit: You wont see any paid work in my gallery - i like to post experiments and gage reactions.

chopping up the car like that kinda takes away from getting a clear idea of the shape. It works well here for artistic value and image and whatnot and it matches your mood / style of the piece but iono how thats gonna affect the consumer. maybe im wrong

Nicely layout and design, sheering of vehicle draws attention quite well. This being a magazine spread it works because its' eye catching for two main reasons; it seperates from normal car or SUV advertisments and secondly it fits with the vehicle that is in this advertisment. Rugged design, rugged SUV design captures both nicely.
